Children's Play is a game whose mission is to call attention to the very delicate topic of child sweatshops, where hundreds of thousands of kids from around the world make all kinds of products every day.
The game's approach is very simple: you are the new owner of one of these factories and your objective is to increase productivity. To do that you'll need to manage a group of six children at an assembly line. You'll have to wake them up if they fall asleep, fix the lights if they go out, keep an eye out for defective products, and, above all, refrain from pestering them too much.
At the beginning of the game you'll have three lives. If a product gets to the end of the assembly line with a defect you'll lose a life. If you pester a child unnecessarily, you'll lose a life. The objective, of course, is to get as many points as possible and increase productivity.
Children's Play is an interesting game/protest. It puts a really uncomfortable topic under the magnifying glass and examines the factories where children work.
